SUMMARY:Hanging of mandilins at St. George of Mandila Church
DESCRIPTION:This special custom takes place on April 23rd, the feast day of Saint George the Great Martyr and Trophy-Bearer, at the ruined hermitage of Saint George “Mandilas”. On this day, scarves are hung on the rock face of the hermitage as symbols of prayers and wishes for health. These scarves remain there until the next year’s feast, preserving a deep sense of faith and connection to tradition.  \n
