Hiking trail that starts from the Monastery of Great Meteoron and ends at the Monastery of Agios Stefanos, at the eastern end of Meteora. The route takes about 90 minutes in total. The route crosses the hilly area north of the Meteora rocks and connects to other trails and hiking trails of Meteora. The visitor has the opportunity to see up close the Upper Conglomerates of Meteora (Miocene age), which are composed
\nof softer rocks (sandstones, clays, conglomerates) compared to the more compact and cohesive Lower Conglomerates that form the rocks. The stratigraphic placement of the Upper Conglomerates (softer rocks) on the Lower Conglomerates (harder rocks) and the transition between them is evident with the change in relief and the degree of erosion.<\/p>\n
