The waterfall of Agia Paraskevi is located at the location of Kontena, just before the homonymous village of Kalambaka. Next to the waterfall is the chapel of Saint Nicholas. The waterfall has a strong flow after periods of rain, and the water is quite limited in the summer months. It drains the northeastern slopes of Koziakas, between the villages of Koromilia and Vitoumas. It was created by the presence of an old large fault running north-south on the eastern slope of Koziakas, which created a steep step in the limestones of Koziakas. The seasonal flow of the waterfall and the hardness of the rock behind the fault prevent rapid erosion by the flow of water and the smoothing of the stream bed.
