Aspropotamos Coast

Alekos beach (“Plaz”) is located 2 kilometers northeast of Agia Paraskevi (Tzourtzia) in Aspropotamos. The location is easily accessible as it is located next to the main road leading from Agia Paraskevi to Milia and Polythea. It is one of the locations where the Aspropotamos (Acheloos River) creates a bend and has deposited significant amounts of sand due to the hydrodynamic conditions. Due to the particular geomorphological conditions, the morphology of the location can change significantly or slightly every year. The location is ideal for recreation and swimming in the cold waters of Aspropotamos during the summer months. It is a popular spot for locals and visitors from nearby villages, especially during the months of July and August.
