Hiking trail that starts from Kastraki Square and the Museum of Geological Formations
of Meteora. The route lasts approximately 45′ and leads after a course to the rock of the
Great Meteor. The route ends at the Monastery of Varlaam, and passes by the
Monasteries of Anapafsa and Great Meteora. The visitor has the opportunity to see up
close the formation of the Conglomerate Meteora (Miocene age) by climbing to the
rock of the Great Meteora, as well as large rock falls at the lower levels which are part of
the continuous process of weathering of the rocks of Meteora.
