Touring the Aspropotamos River and the Pindos Mountains
Pyli – Aspropotamos – Kalampaka
This perimetric route offers visitors the chance to traverse a large portion of the mountainous region of the Geopark, starting from either Kalampaka or Pyli. The journey passes through the Aspropotamos area, the Athamanic Mountains, Trigia, and Koziakas, crossing both small and large picturesque villages of the Pindos range, as well as historic monasteries and chapels, and hidden waterfalls tucked into the slopes. It is considered one of the richest and most beautiful routes in the Geopark, featuring an abundance of geological and cultural landmarks that offer a truly immersive experience of the region’s natural and historical heritage.
