This year’s Koziakas Trail was once again a resounding success, organized with great care by the Association of Professionals of the Mountain Region “Xenios Zeus.” The event took place along the stunning trails of Mount Koziakas (Kerketion), with athlete participation exceeding all expectations!
The Meteora – Pyli Geopark and the Municipality of Pyli actively supported the event and also implemented parallel activities for children, some of whom enthusiastically joined the 1,000-meter race!
After the race, children gathered in the beautiful park of Prophet Elias in Elati, where, under the guidance of Mrs. Eleni Makrygianni, a municipal staff member, they took part in a variety of engaging activities: a treasure hunt, Survivor-style challenges, memory games, and of course, relaxation and stretching exercises.
All activities were inspired by the mission to protect the Egyptian vulture (Asproparis) and to promote the values and vision of the Geopark.
