The Holy Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is located in the square of Gardiki. It is the village’s central church, built in the basilica style with a dome, constructed with stones. There is an inscription indicating the church was renovated in 1843, but it is believed to have been originally built around 1700 on the site of an older church. Later, a bell tower was added in the churchyard. Notable artistic features include the pulpit, the bishop’s throne, and the carved wooden iconostasis. The icons date back to the 18th century, with the bishop’s icon of Saint George bearing an inscription from 1792. The church’s frescoes were destroyed during World War II and replaced in 1982. It functions as the village’s cathedral church, it holds services every Sunday during the summer and celebrates its feast day on August 15th
