Just outside the village of Mesochora, at the confluence of Vathyrrema and Acheloos (Aspropotamos) rivers, is the site of Kazania tou Davanos. The site contains natural cisterns of great depth, in an opening in the Acheloos riverbed. Due to the particular geomorphological conditions, the morphology of the site can change slightly each year. The site is ideal for recreation and swimming in the cold waters of Aspropotamos during the summer months. It is a popular spot for residents and vacationers of neighboring villages, especially during the months of July and August.
