Festivals of Acheloos

During the first ten days of August, the NGO “Achelōou Rous” organizes the annual “Achelōos Festival” in Mesochora, a multi-day event with diverse content, high artistic and cultural value, and a clear aim to mobilize the human and creative potential of the region. At the same time, the organization hosts the annual youth camping event at the “Kazania” site, gathering young people from across Greece. The Mesochora Camping has a nationwide reach and, beyond offering entertainment and connection among youth, it serves as a platform for highlighting the region’s cultural and environmental issues. The festival runs for seven days, from August 11 to 17, featuring concerts, discussions, artistic workshops, outdoor activities, and community engagement, all set against the backdrop of the stunning natural landscape surrounding the Achelōos River.
